HHS University Partnership Program


Emory University participates in the Department of Health and Human Services University Partnership Program.  This program allows eligible HHS employees, contractors, and their dependents to enroll in selected programs at several Emory schools at discounted tuition rates.

Below, you will find links to the Emory schools that participate in this program.  On each of the linked pages, you will find information about the discounts offered, as well as about application procedures.

Applications and Proof of Eligibility

Applicants wishing to claim the HHS University Partnership Program benefit should apply in the usual way. Please visit the program websites for more details and application information. Additionally, applicants wishing to claim the tuition discount and other partnership benefits should submit the following information as proof of eligibility.

HHS employees should submit a copy of their most recent pay stubs, or a letter from their supervisor or HR department verifying HHS employment status, on HHS letterhead. Dependents should submit a copy of the employee’s most recent pay stub or a letter, as well as proof of the dependent relationship, such as a marriage license or birth certificate. (Anyone who submits a copy of a paystub is encouraged to obscure their SSN and/or other personal information.)

HHS contractors should submit a letter verifying HHS contractor status, on HHS letterhead. Dependents should submit a copy of the contractor status letter, as well as proof of the dependent relationship, such as a marriage license or birth certificate.

Laney Graduate School Information

Eligible Programs

The Laney Graduate School is pleased to offer a 10% discount to HHS employees, contractors and eligible dependents admitted to the MA Bioethics and MS in Computer Science programs.  Be sure to visit the website of the program you are interested in, to learn about how it may fit into your educational and career ambitions.

  • Master of Arts in Bioethics — rigorous, advanced, interdisciplinary study in bioethics for professionals and students interested in the social and ethical challenges facing medicine and the life sciences.
  • Master of Science in Computer Science — three distinct degree programs: MS in Computer Science, MS in Computer Science with Biostatistics Concentration, and MS in Computer Science with Computational Science Concentration.

How to Apply

Applicants wishing to claim the HHS University Partnership Program benefit should apply in the usual way.  Information about Laney Graduate School requirements are on our Admissions page, and information about program specific deadlines, requirements, and more can be found at the web sites of the eligible programs.  

Your application itself does not need to mention that you are eligible for the HHS University Partnership discount.  When you apply, please notify the Laney Graduate School (contact information at right) directly that you have applied and will, if you are admitted, claim the discount.  

Admitted applicants wishing to claim the discount should submit proof of their eligibility to LGS staff (contact information at right).
