Professional Development Programs
The Graduate School provides a variety of opportunities and resources to support graduate students' professional development.
- The Teaching Assistant Training Opportunity, TATTO, program introduces graduate students to the profession of teaching in a supervised and gradual manner. Participation in TATTO is required of all doctoral students.
- Professional Development Support Funds are available to support three categories of professional activities: conference participation, special training that is not available at Emory, and research that incurs extraordinary costs. Funds are available within certain limits, through an application and review process.
- Emory's Grant Writing Program provides unparalled support for students to apply for research grants from a wide range of sources. The program offers sessions that range from information sessions open to all students to intensive working sessions focusing on grant proposal drafts.
- We have collected some resources and information to help students identify entities that support research in a wide range of fields and on many different issues.
- Several entities at Emory offer resources and support for research activities.
