Additionally, CAPS has the following support groups

  • Drop-In Groups: No initial consultation/screening necessary

    (students choose one day only and meet for three weeks)

The Emory Ombuds Office is new and here for you as a confidential, safe space where you can discuss issues and where those communications are kept confidential to the fullest extent possible. A resource for faculty, staff, and students, we invite Emory community members at every level to bring us concerns about misunderstandings, incivility, or possible wrongdoing.

Students can still request accommodations using the Accommodate portal - https://emory-accommodate.symplicity.com/.  (DAS) will remain open Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm. All student appointments will be conducted via phone or virtually (i.e. Zoom) until further notice. DAS will not be proctoring exams while virtual instruction is in place. If you have any questions or concerns, please email accessibility@emory.edu.  Please visit Accommodate for more information throughout the week. 

  • If you are on campus, access your student patient portal and send a MESSAGE (far left column) to the “COVID-19 Assessment Provider.” A nurse and/or provider will review your message and call you back with management recommendations within 4 hours (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
  • For all students with urgent concerns and after hours, including weekends, please call 404-727-7551.
  • If you are experiencing severe symptoms, dial 911 or call the Emergency Room before you arrive, if you were exposed to either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases or traveled to areas where community transmission is widespread.

Yes. EUSHIP will waive all out of pocket expenses, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, for medical visits and/or testing related to COVID-19. Refer to the Student Health Services website for more information about the enhanced EUSHIP benefits related to COVID-19.

No. Your EUSHIP coverage will remain active until the end of the policy year (July 31 for international students and August 14 for domestic students). Please refer to the Campus Life website, Student Health Services website, and Aetna website for more information about EUSHIP coverage and benefits.

Yes. If you are currently enrolled in EUSHIP, you may purchase EUSHIP for your dependent. Refer to the Student Health Services website for more information about the EUSHIP Dependent Plan.

Yes. Care for eligible students’ dependents is provided by appointment on a fee-for-service basis. Refer to the Student Health Services website for more information about eligibility for service.

If you graduate in May, your EUSHIP coverage will remain active until the end of the policy year (July 31 for international students and August 14 for domestic students).

Once your EUSHIP coverage ends, you have the option to extend coverage for an additional three months under the Emory University Student Health Insurance Continuation Plan. Refer to the Student Health Services website for more information about the Continuation Plan.

Students Residing On or Near Campus: The Eagle Food Co-Op is a free food security resource available to all Emory students, offering produce, non-perishable food items, and hygiene products. The Co-Op is located in Bread Coffeehouse at 1227 Clifton Rd, Atlanta, GA 30307

Please be advised that due to the COVID 19 pandemic, The Eagle Food Co-Op is no longer accepting walk-ins. Students seeking these resource should email the co-op at eaglefoodcoop@breadcoffeehouse.org to schedule an appointment within the new hours of operation listed below:

Students Not Residing Near Campus but are in the US: Students experiencing immediate food security challenges and are not able to access the Eagle Food Co-Op, are encouraged to visit the Feeding America website to obtain information on food security resources in their local area.

Students Not Residing in the U.S. (International): Students experiencing immediate food security challenges and are not residing in the U.S. are encouraged to contact the Center for Student Success directly at 404-727-4193.

Free Toiletries: Bread Coffeehouse can also assist students with toiletries in addition to food. Students should emaileaglefoodcoop@breadcoffeehouse.org to set up an appointment.

Reminder: Students who are enrolled in EUSHIP will remain covered by EUSHIP until the end of the policy year (July 31 for international students and August 14 for domestic students) and can use their EUSHIP benefits at any Emory Core of Aetna network provider.
