Joseph O’Neill, The New York Times, 5 April 2009
Please consider a contribution to the Correspondence of Samuel Beckett project at Emory University. Funds support staff salaries, student stipends, and the archival research needed to complete this historic edition.
Thanks to a grant from the NEH and continued funding from Emory University, the editing of Volumes II and III are already underway. However, we need your help.
The NEH grant includes Federal Matching funds that will match up to $30,000 given to the project. In the current economic climate, we cannot afford to lose this opportunity to double your gift to the project. We need to raise $30,000 to qualify for these matching funds in order to complete the four volume edition on schedule.
We are both honored and humbled by the response to Volume I (we have collected reviews here), as well as the eagerness and expectation with which the forthcoming volumes are awaited. To meet our editorial goals for Volume II and beyond we need help from friends like you.
Please partner with us to reach this fundraising goal. All gifts are tax-deductible.
To direct your gift to the us, specify that you are donating to the Graduate School, then select “Other” and write in The Correspondence of Samuel Beckett.
Please make checks payable to Emory University, and mail to The Correspondence of Samuel Beckett, c/o Katie Busch, Graduate School, Emory University, 201 Dowman Drive, 209 Administration Building, Atlanta, GA 30322.
